Resurfaced clip shows special moment Liam Payne sung and danced with crowd months before death
Not a dry eye in sight
Liam Payne‘s legacy has been felt all over the world, and it hasn’t stopped since his tragic death in October. He starred as a judge on Netflix’s new show, Building The Band, and there was a really special moment when he had the whole audience crying.
In-between performances from the singers, Liam sang One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful with the crowd, and there genuinely was not one dry eye in sight. And for those of us watching the new show, we’ve all been crying over the same exact moment.
He also danced among the audience, but it was the crowd who started playing the song first. Liam started to smile, and then couldn’t help but get up and join to the original hit, and before we knew it he was jumping up and down with his arms around the crowd.

Netflix paid tribute to Liam just before showing the clip, which read, “With loving memory of Liam Payne,” as it’s the last time we’ll ever see him on screen, having filmed the show in July 2024, just three months before he tragically died in October.
He had some really special moments on the show, such as telling one band that they “remind him of us when we were younger,” and recalling how One Direction “didn’t win,” despite people thinking they did, as they “came third… but we didn’t lose.”
