Love Island USA host addresses conspiracies that this season is ‘rigged’ with producer plants
I still have my suspicions
Love Island USA host Ariana Madix has shut down rumours that this season of the show is “rigged”, with some speculating certain cast members are secretly producer plants.
She made her feelings about the “conspiracy” theories plan during an interview with The Wrap, saying: “You can have whatever opinions you want to have about the show itself, but I will tell you: Don’t you start making up conspiracies. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, so I’m the debunker.”

She addressed the claims that Love Island USA is rigged by production in another interview with Deadline.
She explained: “There’s constantly conspiracy theories about how the show was made or how decisions are made within the villa or with the Islanders.
“There’s always accusations of things being rigged, or that production decided this, that or the other. That’s not true. The audience is so smart about so many things, but they never get it right on what is maybe influenced or not.
“Islander decisions are never influenced by production. Voting is never rigged. Things are not decided on because the season is going a certain way.
“The way that we did Casa this year — which I loved, by the way, because it gave people agency, and it prevented people from being singled out as villains — things like that are planned ahead of time.”

In a sperate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Love Island USA host also addressed concerns over the lack of strong longer term couples this season compared to previous ones.
She admitted: “It is what it is. Our team finds the most amazing people to put in and you never know what’s the dynamic gonna be until they’re all together.
“This person and this person, you might think they’ll hit it off and then they don’t. That is the special sauce to the show is that dynamic that you cannot predict.”

She continued: “This season is a little bit different than last and then last season was a little bit different than the one before, and I think that’s what makes it so fun.
“We’re just here for the ride and so I’m enjoying seeing how things are playing out. I love that we went into Casa [Amor] without too many strong couples. It makes for an enjoyable time for me as a viewer.”
