Whether you believe it was staged or not, there’s no doubt the home invasion and robbery Dorit and PK had to go through whilst filming for RHOBH was incredibly traumatic.
While the robbery took happened over three years ago, it’s only being brought up during the RHOBH reunion now, with some cast members casting doubt over what PK and Dorit went through.
But how much was stolen from Dorit and PK’s house, and what ultimately happened to the robbers?
Dorit and PK were reportedly “one of the hardest hit” homeowners who had been targeted by Jason Yaselli and Benjamin Ackerman, who stole an estimated $2.5 million worth of items from their house.
Jason and Benjamin stole over $5 million from various celebrity homes around the area, and when their storage unit full of contraband items was discovered, it was recorded as one of the “largest recoveries of stolen items in LAPD history.”
During the robbery and home invasion of the former property of PK and Dorit, the thieves reportedly took “artwork, jewelry, a large and expensive wine collection, wallets, and handbags worth more than $2.5 million,” as well as “43 purses and handbags, 30 bracelets, 25 necklaces, and a Social Security card.”
The two robbers were hit with “14 counts of burglary, 32 counts of money laundering, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering,” and were accused of stealing over $500,000 through fraud and embezzlement.
