Love Is Blind’s Lauren reveals why she and Dave split up in a movie theatre
They didn't just go home like we all expected
Love Is Blind’s Lauren and Dave ended up calling it quits in a movie theatre. She’s now revealed why the split took place in such a random location after they argued at a bowling alley. When they decided to go somewhere to talk, they chose the pictures, but it was genuinely an intentional place to finally say goodbye to their short-lived romance.

Lauren and Dave split up in a movie theater on Love Is Blind. It happened when Dave became mad at Lauren and her family, which was basically the tipping point for Lauren ahead of the scheduled wedding. It was so close to them getting married that their family and friends had literally booked their flights and hotels for the wedding!
They agreed that they had a strong connection but should go their separate ways. In a confessional interview, Dave said he felt like he “let her down” because he “couldn’t get over my own ego.” But it all started in episode 11, with Dave suggesting that Lauren “probably didn’t expect” to fall in love with someone who knew her most recent ex, who she called a “friends with benefits.”
“You admitted you never ended it and you should have ended it,” he said. However, Lauren bit back with: “That’s not what I said. I said there was not a lack of closure in my opinion.” Dave then brought up his off-camera meeting with Lauren’s dad, who didn’t want to be recorded. He said: “Yeah, we’re coming back to it because of the way your dad approached me saying he thought I was there just to see what happens.
He added: “He thought you were fully ready for this engagement, get married in six weeks deal.” Lauren then replied: “I don’t understand why this is on my family when your sister didn’t want you to get engaged. Your dad didn’t even know that there was an engagement,” and next thing you know, they’re chatting in a movie theatre of all places.

Lauren simply wanted to go to a quiet place to talk with Dave, and when they were at the bowling alley, they realised a movie theatre was next door. She told US Weekly: “[We were at this] retro bowling alley and right next door is a little theatre and it was closed down. But it was so funny because we’re having this serious conversation,” adding that an older group in a bowling league walked in a couple of times.
She continued, “A couple people walked in and they were like, ‘Is this where this event is?’ And our producer had to run in and I’m like, like, crying and our producer had to be like, ‘Please leave.'” Then in a confessional, Lauren said: “I’m really sad this didn’t work out. I’m so incredibly sad about it. I’m also pissed that he let it get here.”
