Kaitlin LeGrand rose to fame on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. The show premiered almost 20 years ago. Kaitlin was a cheerleader who appeared in season 6. But she was unfortunately cut from the team. Now, DCC is back on screens, with Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and fans are casting their minds back to Kaitlin’s days of fame.
Netflix is well known for its sports series such as Cheer and QB1, and now America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is here. The show focuses on the cheerleaders in the squad who are described as the “best of the best,” as well as “beautiful, classy, and feminine.” One cheerleader says: “DCC land is this mythical, magical world, once you start sipping that Gatorade, you don’t want to come out.” It’s certainly no walk in the park to make the team. Of the hundreds of women who compete to be on the squad, only 36 make it.
Kaitlin LeGrand was cut from DCC
America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders follows the stories of the DCC Class of 23.
While there are many new cheerleaders to get to know, fans are casting their minds back to 2010 when Kaitlin LeGrand was on the squad.
She first appeared in season 5 as a rookie before returning the next season.
Unfortunately, Kaitlin was cut from the team and a story she told during an episode of the show still has fans confused to this day.
Kaitlin’s ‘speeding’ story confuses fans
During Making the Team season 6, Kaitlin pays a visit to Kelli McGonagill Finglass and Judy Trammell’s office.
Kelli says: “It’s 10 o’clock at night and she wants to come visit with me.”
Kaitlin says she got pulled over in a construction zone for speeding: “The cop followed me home so that I wouldn’t get an extra ticket.”
“I was freaking out and had an anxiety attack… I realize I should’ve called someone… I was just so flustered.”
She’s asked if she is “under the influence of anything” and replies: “No.”
Kelli tells Kaitlin she thinks her “behavior is a little odd.”
When the ladies ask to see Kaitlin’s ticket, she says she “talked herself out of everything,” adding how she “cried” and was given a verbal warning.
Kaitlin added that her mom drove her to the office, before Kelli says in a confessional that the story was “confusing” adding how “it didn’t connect…”
The former cheerleader was told it was “time for her to grow up and be a veteran now,” but she was later cut from the squad.
Despite Kaitlin’s appearance on the show being over 10 years ago, fans are still talking about her “story” on Reddit threads.
Many come up with various theories as to why Kaitlin was unable to remain on the team with some saying her story was “sad.”
