Silly Celebrity Traitors editing error shows how staged the grave mission really was

Celebrity Traitors 2026 started last week, and more people tuned in than ever before, but a really silly editing error in the second episode didn’t go unnoticed.

The new series has a huge cast, with the likes of Richard E Grant, Miranda Hart and James Acaster entering the Scottish castle. But the error actually relates to everyone’s favourite Traitors icon, Claudia Winkleman, and her very famous fringe.

Everyone knows the show is staged, and the celebrity version is even more heavily produced than the civilian one. Come on, we’re not stupid. But they could at least put a bit more effort into making it feel real. Especially when it’s supposed to be a tense moment.

The mistake came at the start of the grave mission, where all the celebs were buried alive in shallow graves in pairs and had to be dug out by their fellow contestants. People have noticed that Claudia’s hair changed as she was speaking.

As the host opened up the challenge, her fringe was separated in the middle and her hair was a bit messy. Then, the camera cut to the celebrities listening to her explain the mission, before returning to Claudia, and her fringe was full and totally perfect.

“Well, it is The Traitors after all,” she said with her hair a little messed up. Only a fraction of a second passed as the camera zoomed in on Traitor Maya Jama. Then, her hair was perfect as she said: “Let me tell you about today’s mission.”

Okay, it’s really not that deep, I know. But it’s just a bit sloppy.
