Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé tragically speaks out and makes promise to their daughter

Wladimir Klitschko, Hayden Panettiere’s ex-fiancé and the father of their daughter, has issued a statement after news of the actress’ death.

Hayden’s passing was confirmed on Sunday, with her dad later responding in a heartbreaking message.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” he said.

Wladimir Klitschko made a promise after Hayden Panettiere’s death

After meeting through mutual friends in 2008, Hayden Panettiere began dating professional boxer Wladimir Klitschko. They broke up and got back together several times before getting engaged in 2013. A year later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Kaya. Their final breakup came in 2018.

Amidst the breakup, a battle with depression, and substance abuse issues, Hayden chose to relinquish custody to her ex in 2018. Though the decision was hard, Hayden said their relationship had never been better earlier this year.

Taking to Instagram after the sad news of Hayden’s passing, her ex wrote: “Our family is going through a time of profound shock and grief.

“The announcement of Hayden’s tragic death saddens me deeply. She left this world far too soon. Hayden was, although no longer my partner, an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.

“She built an incredible career through immense talent, while also facing the darker sides of a very demanding industry. Nothing will erase the times we shared or the place she had in our lives.

“To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was.

“I extend my deepest condolences to Hayden’s parents, her friends, and her fans, who are also grieving today. Young and talented people like Hayden should not leave this world so soon.”

The police are still investigating the manner of Hayden’s passing, but it’s not believed to be suspicious.
