The wages the MAFS UK 2025 cast earned before the show prove who *really* needs fame

Julia-Ruth is apparently the lowest earner, yikes

Wages before the show has been mentioned in heated talk on MAFS UK 2025. Usually they drop a few details about their jobs and whether they earn lots, but Keye casually used his “six figure salary” as proof he’s not on the show for fame, like others might be.

So, how much actually are the MAFS cast earning? Do any of them really need the boost of fame? Let’s get a breakdown of the jobs they all had before the show, and the average wage these roles carry. Therefore, we can see who really doesn’t need the fame. Spoiler alert: It’s not just Keye.

Julia-Ruth – £24k

Julia-Ruth *apparently* has the lowest estimated wage, as a dancer. But, she may be paid hourly, or by project – which makes it tough to judge. Plus, she’s been on other TV shows and has had many side quests in her life, which have probably brought in a few pounds. Let’s just hope Keye and Divarni aren’t reading too much into this.

Abi – £28k

via E4

Abi is from Bournemouth, and works as a veterinary nurse. According to Indeed, the average salary for a veterinary nurse in Bournemouth is £28k per year. But, Abi is definitely getting fulfilment from her love of her job. Ahead of the show, she said she’s a lover of animals and “loves her job and the fact she gets to care for animals daily.”

Maeve – £28k

via E4

Newcastle girlie Maeve works as an aesthetic nurse practitioner. Where she’s from, this has an average wage of £28k per year.

Leo – £30k

via E4

Leo is a graphic designer, which could be earning him around £30k. That being said, if he’s freelance and has well-paying clients, it could be a lot, lot more. Plus, he has his side quest as Hotdog Sanchez. I’m sure that’s making him millions.

Leigh – £30k

via E4

April – £40k

April owns a food stand, so it really is quite impossible to predict her earnings. She’s had some festival gigs, so you can assume her stand is doing well. A few salary sites predict food stand owners are making around £40k in 2025.

Reiss – £40k

Keye – £80k (but he claims six figures)

via E4

Keye got this entire conversation going, when he said he didn’t need fame from the show, because he’s earning six figures already. Before MAFS, Keye was working as a marketing manager in London. His last role (presumably the six figure salary one) was in lifestyle marketing at a company called The Crown Estate.

The average marketing manager salary in London is actually £48k, according to Glassdoor. When you move up in experience, the website predicts you could be earning around the £80k mark. We’ll have to take his word for the six figure claims, then.
