MAFS UK bride April has a super wholesome job… and you might have met her at festivals

The MAFS UK bride April Holmes has a pretty unexpected job. She must be, like, the only MAFS bride this year to not be an aesthetics practitioner or have some ill-defined social media job.

April is from Weymouth, and she’s 32 (although she was 31 while MAFS was filmed). She’s been paired with the graphic designer Leo Stanley, who goes by the alias Hotdogg Stanley, because… reasons.

Here’s an investigation of what she actually does for work, when she’s not dealing with awkward interactions on MAFS.

April started a business with her cousin

In 2019, April started a business with her cousin and bestie, Jade. April quit her day job in 2024, and so by the time she was filming MAFS UK, her main work was this business. They run a company called Holy Crepe. April’s niece also works with them sometimes. Nawww.

The new food truck sells a selection of sweet crepes – like Nutella ones, or golden syrup ones – as well as some more unusual flavours. I’m not sure how I feel about cheese and chorizo on a pancake, tbh.

You might have encountered them at music events this summer

April caters small events such as weddings. She also sells crepes at music festivals. The Holy Crepe truck has been at Dorsetfest, Jurassic Fields Music Festival, Summerfest and Wessex Folk Festival.

Do we reckon the experts only paired her with Leo because he likes hot dogs, and those are also sold from trucks at festivals? It’s a strong possibility, surely?
