MAFS UK bride Sarah spills on what that awkward honeymoon with Dean was *really* like

Sarah and Dean’s honeymoon on MAFS UK did not look a fun trip. We saw Sarah make controversial comments about Dean’s appearance, and Dean resort to barking like a dog. It’s not exactly the stuff that great romance novels are made of.

Sarah has now gone into detail about what her honeymoon with Dean was really like. She claims they had a much better time than we saw on TV, and the edit made the holiday look way worse than it actually was.

“Certain things have definitely been edited in a different way,” she told Press and Journal, “Dean and I got on amazingly. We had so many laughs, and there are a lot of things that have not made the cut for these episodes, which is unfortunate.

“I think people also need to remember that it is a reality TV show, and some things have been portrayed differently for TV.”

Sarah insists that even when her face does not look very happy, she was still excited to be there deep down. “I’m an excitable character. The facial expressions that I’ve made sometimes on the show have made me look quite miserable – but I promise it’s just been my face.

“I think it’s important for people to remember we were in quite an abnormal situation. Filming days could be really long and we were with strangers.”

Dean has claimed that some of his favourite parts of their wedding didn’t make the final cut of MAFS. Sarah revealed there was another happy moment that wasn’t shown on TV.  “Unfortunately, our dance wasn’t shown on the show but we had such a good time. We had a wee rave and everything,” she added.

The MAFS UK cast didn’t get to see any episodes before they aired. Sarah found the first few episodes “quite hard to watch”. However, she’s “definitely learned a lot” since the start of the experiment.

Sarah has addressed the comments she made about Dean’s weight on their honeymoon. She wrote on her Instagram: “I take full accountability for the things I have said, even if they don’t always reflect how I would normally express myself.”
