One year after all their MAFS UK drama, this is where Lacey and Nathan stand now

Right now, we’re all getting back into MAFS UK – but if you cast your mind back to last year, Lacey and Nathan gave us the biggest whirlwind the show has possibly ever seen. A small part of me still isn’t over it.

Right from the start, they looked like one of the very few couples in the 2024 series who stood a chance. They went through ups and downs, but appeared to always come back stronger. The couple made it to the end of the show together, but it was later revealed they’d since split.

Then, things got really messy. They began slating each other back and forth, and the reunion episode turned into nothing but Lacey going for Nathan. They both accused one another of being on the show for fame. It was a lot! So, here’s a rundown of what happened, and where they stand now.

What went down between Lacey and Nathan on MAFS UK?

The couple made it to final vows, and left the show together. It was later revealed they’d split just after the show. It was quickly looking much messier than first anticipated, as it was said things turned very frosty between the pair, leading to “bitter rows” and them blocking each other on socials.

Nathan was the first to speak out about the split after MAFS UK, and said it was “heartbreaking” and they “wanted different things.” Lacey then shared her side of the story.

She told The Sun: “I genuinely didn’t think he would do this to me. What we had was so real and special. Nathan always used to say to me, ‘oh, this is the relationship I’ve always wanted’, in terms of always laughing together, always dancing together. I could be my full self and he could be his, and I accepted him for him.”

During the reunion, Nathan said Lacey had wanted to “fake” a “showmance” for “magazine deals”. Lacey then accused him of changing after the experiment. It all spiralled into tears and fights, with Lacey storming out. Nathan was then revealed to be dating a Love Islander, and Lacey was said to be “furious”.

Lacey then posted a video calling Nathan a “liar” and said MAFS “fame went to his head”. She claimed Nathan had been onboard for them faking a “showmance” together.

She added: “I just want him to tell the truth. He is not the person I fell in love with, he’s completely and utterly gone and I do feel like the fame has gone to his head. That edited conversation is not a true reflection of what happened between us.”

Lacey also said the real reason the couple broke up was because Nathan failed to support her during her Race For Life fundraiser. “In the scenes that were cut I told Nathan ‘we didn’t split up because of messages’ It’s not the reason we split up,” she said.

Nathan has stuck by his side of the story, that Lacey had proposed a “fake” relationship in order to get brand deals. He didn’t want this, and things ended.

Guys, even now MAFS UK 2024 exes Lacey and Nathan are fighting. This drama will never go away. Just last month, Lacey went for Nathan again. He’s still happily in a relationship with Love Islander Abi Moores, and has seemed to be trying to put the drama behind him.

The exes have had a couple of awkward run-ins at events, and are said to not be on speaking terms, and trying to avoid each other as much as possible.

Speaking to The Sun at an event last month, Lacey said: “Wow, let’s hope he runs away from me. Like he said on his Instagram the other day. [There’s] beef on his side, because why you writing about me? You’ve got a girlfriend. Why am I living rent free in your head? Because I’m not talking about him on my stories. He is.

“I’m just like, you’ve got a girlfriend. Have respect for your girlfriend. I wouldn’t talk about him if I was with someone, but, you know, I’m single.”

A source said more about what the general vibe between them is, when they cross paths. “Lacey and Nathan had to be kept away from each other,” they said. “It was chaos as he was supposed to be on the MAFS table but she wouldn’t have sat there if he was there. He was all over his girlfriend Abi, so they had to be sat at a separate table. It was daggers across the room the whole night.”
