After MAFS UK 2024, I think we all had high hopes Lacey and Nathan would make it work. But unfortunately, they didn’t. Ever since, their breakup has escalated more and more, and now it’s looking like a messy affair.

There have been bold statements made, shady TikToks, and even a little input from Lacey’s mum for good measure. So, as we reflect on how our fav couple from the show have now broken down, here’s everything that’s happened between Lacey and Nathan since MAFS UK.

Despite them making it to the end, Lacey and Nathan split after MAFS UK 2024

On MAFS UK 2024, we saw Lacey and Nathan make it to final vows, and then return for the reunion. During these episodes, they were still together. However, it was soon reported they had in fact split up, not long after filming ended.

It was confirmed they ended things in April, after it “fizzled out” following the show. A source told The Sun: “Nathan and Lacey really tried to make their relationship work in the real world but it just fizzled after a while. The final vows were filmed in February and they were still going strong in April when the reunion was shot, but since then they have called it quits.

“They were both sad it didn’t work out, but sadly it wasn’t meant to be. It’s also a big blow for fans who were really invested in their relationship. They were widely viewed as the strongest couple of the series so the news that they are no longer an item is such a shame.”

Shortly after this revelation, more details about the split were reported. It was quickly looking much messier than first anticipated. It was said it turned very frosty between the pair, leading to “bitter rows” and them blocking each other on socials.

According to The Sun: “It was revealed last week that Nathan and Lacey split after filming, but now they’ve watched the show back on TV they’ve had a series of bitter rows and have now blocked each other. It doesn’t look like there is any going back for them and there is no love lost between them right now. They aren’t speaking and just want to move on.” Ouch.

Nathan called the split ‘heartbreaking’

Nathan was the first to speak out about his split from Lacey after MAFS UK, and said it was “heartbreaking” and they “wanted different things.”

He told Yahoo UK: “I have a lot of respect and care for Lacey. We both wanted different things. I went on the show to find love, and sometimes things don’t work out, but everything happens for a reason, and I’m so grateful for the time we shared together.

“Whilst I was hugely disappointed by the break up, and heartbroken, I respected her decision to part ways and I have nothing but love and good wishes for her. I wouldn’t have changed anything on the show, and despite what happened behind the scenes, I would still have chosen Lacey to be my bride, and I have nothing but respect and love for her.”

Side note, Nathan said he wants to date on TV again

All that chat of heartbreak only lasted a bit, as straight away he was talking of reality TV again. He also added in the same interview he’d be keen to get back on the telly, and wants to appear on Celebs Go Dating or Celebrity SAS amongst others. Sure thing.

Then Lacey’s mum got involved, and started shading Nathan

I really wasn’t expecting this turn, but as soon as it happened, it just sort of made sense. Of course Lacey’s mum, who was very vocal on the show, wasn’t going to let this one go. Maxine started shading Nathan on Facebook, after his comments about wanting to go on TV again.

She angrily wrote: “So Lacey and Nathan have split up and he is saying he was in MAFS to find not love not fame but he has written an article saying he wouldn’t mind doing Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity SAS, Bake-Off and saying my Lacey was not genuine….. really.”

In the comments section, one person asked: “How does Lacey feel about all this?” She replied: “Lacey is really upset darling as we are all genuine but she will get to tell her side of the story.”

Another commented: “What a fake man!!” Maxine responded: “I know darling and saying Lacey wasn’t genuine.” She also said Nathan had “changed so much towards Lacey.”

It was briefly rumoured Nathan was now dating Amy

Just for a bit, there were rumours Amy and Nathan had a couple swap, but she swiftly shut this down. During an Instagram Q&A, Amy was asked: “Are you dating Adam or Nathan? Saw online it was one or the other.”

Amy clapped back at the rumours, and said she’s not dating anyone from the cast. “Apparently I’m dating Adam, Nathan, heard I’m dating Kieran too last night,” she said. “Wish I had that much spare time on my hands. I am single and not dating any of the cast.”

It got messier still when MAFS UK grooms Adam and Nathan made a TikTok. In it, they hinted at Lacey “finding out” Nathan had been faking his feelings on the show.

They did the “suspect challenge”, which basically entails recording someone as though they’re on the run. You then say something they’re guilty of. Adam said to Nathan: “Suspect running. Lacey knows he was faking his feelings.” Oh? So he’s guilty of that then? Cool?!
