Revealed: Lacey shares the *real* reason she and Nathan broke up after MAFS UK 2024

Ever since it was revealed Nathan and Lacey has split after MAFS UK 2024, nobody really knew the reason why they broke up. Nathan had his say on the split, and then Lacey shared her heartbreaking side of the story. Now, she’s spilled the details on what went down in their final days as a couple.

On MAFS UK 2024, we saw Lacey and Nathan make it to final vows, and then return for the reunion. During these episodes, they were still together. However, it was soon reported they had in fact split up, not long after filming ended. At first it was said things “fizzled out”. Then, more details of “bitter rows” and blocking each other on socials emerged.

During an interview with The Sun, Lacey has shared some more context of what happened and why she and Nathan didn’t work out. She said Nathan failed to support her Race For Life fundraiser, and then went cold on her. She did the fundraiser in memory of her late uncle, who died from cancer, and for her mum, who also had cancer.

When she then called Nathan out over his lack of support, instead of apologising to her, he blocked her on anything. Six months on, she remains blocked. Lacey has said she’s tried to reach out to him since, but has had nothing back.

Lacey added that before this incident she felt Nathan had already began to “withdraw” from their relationship. She claimed he would no longer take her on dates, or leave her love notes or buy flowers. She said they attended a birthday party for fellow MAFS bride Holly, but Nathan was more interested in spending time with Alex than her.

Lacey has also spoken about how the split made her feel, in her first bombshell interview. “I genuinely didn’t think he would do this to me,” she said. She added she “doesn’t recognise him anymore” and is “hurt” because Nathan “didn’t appreciate me in the end.”

Nathan has already had his say on the situation. He told Yahoo UK: “I have a lot of respect and care for Lacey. We both wanted different things. I went on the show to find love, and sometimes things don’t work out, but everything happens for a reason, and I’m so grateful for the time we shared together.

“Whilst I was hugely disappointed by the break up, and heartbroken, I respected her decision to part ways and I have nothing but love and good wishes for her. I wouldn’t have changed anything on the show, and despite what happened behind the scenes, I would still have chosen Lacey to be my bride, and I have nothing but respect and love for her.”
