Lacey breaks down in tears as she calls Nathan a ‘liar’ and says MAFS ‘fame went to his head’

After all the chaos at the MAFS UK reunion, Lacey has done another interview slamming her ex, Nathan. During the reunion show there was a lot of drama about their breakup. Nathan accused Lacey of wanting to fake a “showmance” whilst Lacey said this wasn’t the case at all.

Now, Lacey – who said she didn’t want fame from the show – has done an interview with The Sun to get her side of the story out. She broke down in tears as she explained her side of what happened between herself and Nathan, and spoke of all the hate she’s had after the episode aired.

She told the publication she’s had messages calling her a “narcissist” and a “gaslighter”. But, she said important parts of her chats with Nathan were cut from the show, and they would have given a more balanced view of what was said.

“They’ve edited it to make me out as this villain,” she claimed. “It was completely off. They cut out all of my responses to Nathan and it looks like I just accepted what he was saying, which isn’t fair.”

She also ripped into Nathan, who previously denied wanting anything to do with the idea of a “showmance”. Lacey has instead insisted he was onboard with this idea too.

“It was after we’d split up. Throughout the experiment I was in love, I didn’t expect us to break up,” she said.  “I watched the show when it aired and my feelings for Nathan started coming back, so I reached out to him. We were FaceTiming regularly and he was talking to me about doing collaborations even though we weren’t together. He was asking if I’d had any work from the show.”

She added: “I just want him to tell the truth. He is not the person I fell in love with, he’s completely and utterly gone and I do feel like the fame has gone to his head. That edited conversation is not a true reflection of what happened between us.”

Lacey also said the real reason the couple broke up was because Nathan failed to support her during her Race For Life fundraiser. “In the scenes that were cut I told Nathan ‘we didn’t split up because of messages’ It’s not the reason we split up,” she said.

“I messaged him saying that maybe we should just be friends if he couldn’t wish me luck on what was a really important day for me. I was shocked and hurt and told him I’d never do that to him.”

Speaking of the aftermath of the reunion, Lacey added: “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t struggling. I just wish Nathan would put out a statement – I feel like that would really help the situation.”

Nathan did release a statement on Instagram shortly after the reunion aired. “Thank you so much to everyone for the kind messages,” he said. “I came on the show to meet my person and to find true love and I came away with the most amazing friends and I cherish the time I was a hubby.

“I’m grateful to have found love and for lessons that I learned. I would love to find the lobster for my roll. Who knows, maybe I’ll get some tips from the main man @paulcbrunson. But for now I’m grateful for the support and for supporting me for being my authentic and real self.”
