This is who smoked or vaped in the Love Island 2025 villa, and two people were ‘the worst’

They were ‘always out there’

Everyone always wants to know who smokes and vapes in the Love Island villa, and we finally have the answer for the 2025 series.

Islanders now have to go outside the front of the villa to smoke or vape, so we never actually see them doing it on camera. This leaves the smokers and vapers a mystery, but dumped Islander Emma, aka Harry’s ex, has revealed everything we need to know.

Speaking on the Spill with Will podcast, she said: “Almost all of them [vape].” Even she seemed shocked that practically everyone in the villa was vaping this year. The host Will Njobvu then clarified “So everyone vapes, everyone’s a vaper?” and she agreed with a “Mm-hmm”.

So, the entire cast 2025 was going off for a puff outside the front of the Majorca villa, but two particular Islanders practically made the smoking area their second home. Nobody smoked cigarettes in the villa this year, but Emma revealed Harry and Helena were out there all the time doing Snus.

“Helena and Harry were the worst for it, they were always in there [the smoking area doing Snus],” she said. Emma said she doesn’t use the tobacco product because it leaves her “head spinning”.

The reality TV show has very strict smoking rules. Most importantly, all Love Islanders have to declare whether they smoke or vape BEFORE they go into the villa. If they haven’t declared beforehand, they can’t just go outside and puff on someone else’s vape whenever they fancy.

Islanders are allowed either one vape or up to 10 cigarettes a day, and they must smoke in a dedicated off-camera smoking area. They used to let them smoke in the villa during the early seasons, but this was scrapped in 2018 following complaints that the show was encouraging smoking.

“More than 50% of complaints about the show were about people smoking,” head of ITV2 Paul Mortimer told Radio Times at the time. “And because they’re a very sexy cast in a very sexy environment on a sexy channel, it made smoking look glamorous and Ofcom took a view that it was unacceptable.”

“This year, we’ve got in place a plan for the smoking area to be outside the villa rather than outside the garden,” he explained. Anything related to smoking, like cigarettes, vapes and lighters, isn’t allowed to leave the smoking area either. So, there’s no sneaking them back into the villa.
