Love Islanders have shared what Dejon is really like in the villa, and it’s so conflicting

Emma says she ‘felt funny around him’

Dejon and Meg have finally been dumped from Love Island 2025. What a relief. An assortment of ex-Love Islanders have been spilling about what Dejon was really like to live with in the villa. They’ve all said wildly different things and now I’m just as confused as ever.

On the Spill With Will podcast, Emma was asked if she thought Dejon and Meg would last outside the villa. She said: “I do question his intentions. I really felt funny around him. Out of everyone in the villa, that was the only one that I avoided. Something in my gut was telling me, ‘Leave that man alone.’

“He does seem calculated. And even on the first day I met him, he was putting the other bombshells that had come in down, right off the get-go. He never even said hello to me either. And I just thought, ‘What are you doing? Why are you like that?'”

Emma wasn’t impressed with the way Dejon behaved towards Andrada in Casa Amor. Apparently she warned Andrada, “Girl, don’t fall for it, I think he’s breadcrumbing you.”

Megan had a totally different opinion on Dejon, though. After she was dumped from the villa (the first time) she told the producers she felt super close to Dejon. “‘Dejon was like my rock in there. No matter what problem anyone had, he was there to listen.”

That sounds so wholesome.

Other Islanders didn’t heap on as much praise. Ben told Closer: “There were times in there when everyone was saying D probably was playing a little bit of a game. Now, for me, now that they’ve [Dejon and Meg] gone official I don’t think he is and I think that’s a big statement, especially on TV.”

Well, one could argue that dramatically becoming boyfriend and girlfriend on Love Island could be a bid to gain popularity and play the “game”. But each to their own.

Helena had a totally different outlook on Dejon’s relationship with Meg. After Helena was dumped, she told producers: “I fully back D and Meg. I did express my opinions about them as a couple which we saw on Movie Night, but when they went exclusive I saw a completely different side to them. I think they will go the whole way and be great on the outside.”

Well, time will tell.
