Here’s the real reason Megan and Conor weren’t invited back for Love Island’s final dumping

They didn’t get to vote for the least compatible couple

I still haven’t recovered from Sunday’s episode. In the final dumping of Love Island 2025, 18 ex-Islanders dramatically returned to vote off the couple they thought was the least compatible. Rip to Meg and Dejon. But surprisingly, Megan Clarke and Conor Phillips didn’t show up. This felt pretty strange, considering how much screen time they both got throughout the show. Plus, they Megan and Conor both appeared on Love Island: Aftersun on Sunday, so they must have still been kicking about in Mallorca. Thankfully, ITV have shed some light on the reason why Megan and Conor weren’t asked to return to the Love Island villa for the final dumping.

A source told The Sun: “They were dumped as part of the public vote that also decided who was in the bottom two couples – so it wouldn’t have been fair to let them vote. The vote was only for people who had been axed in previous dumpings, not the current one.”

Remember, Megan and Conor left because the public voted they were the least compatible couple. I guess the producers viewed their exit as the first round of the same drawn-out dumping that the ex-Islanders all voted on. So it didn’t make sense for Megan and Conor to vote in a contest they had also been a part of? You with me still?

Imagine the repercussions if Megan and Conor had been allowed to vote in the final Love Island dumping. Maybe Meg and Dejon would have made it to the finale instead of Angel and Ty?
