Avon and Somerset Police call for information in search of missing person Lee Horton

Lee Horton was last seen on CCTV in Broadmead on Tuesday 11th March

Avon and Somerset Police are calling for information on the whereabouts of 36-year-old Lee Horton, a man from Evesham in Worcestershire.

Lee visited Bristol last Tuesday (11th March), telling his family he would catch a train home the same day.

After not hearing from him since his family reported him missing the following day (Wednesday 12th March).

Since then, the police have been following various lines of enquiry to try and trace Lee’s movements.

They have released the latest sighting of Lee on the day he went missing, with CCTV tracing him in Broadmead, just after 1pm.

Enquiries have concluded that Lee unsuccessfully attempted to book a hotel on Tuesday morning, before visiting several shops in the area.

He was seen getting on and subsequently straight off a bus, with the last confirmed sighting of him at 1pm.

Lee was last seen wearing a blue jacket and dark jeans and carrying a large rucksack with red tags. He is 5ft 11 and has short brown hair and a beard.

Lee’s family have said his visit to Bristol was not out of the ordinary, however, it is unlike him to have been out of contact for so long.

In a statement on Facebook to the group BringLeeHome, Lee’s brother Kieran described how the past week has “felt like a lifetime”.

Kieran said: “Me, my family, friends that know Lee and have connections with Lee I’m sure will understand, this is not the Lee we know, this is completely out of character. We are relying on everyone to pull together to help us find our brother, our loved one, we want to make sure Lee is safe, and well.”

Avon and Somerset Police are asking the public to check dashcam footage and report any possible sightings. People are advised to check any outbuildings in case he sought shelter and report to the police if they find a large black rucksack with red tags.

Any sightings or information about Lee’s whereabouts can be reported by calling 999, or ringing 101 and giving the reference number 5225073912.
