‘Nobody let me down’: Lip reader reveals what Donald Trump said to Melania during dance
‘Today is one we will never forget’
Donald Trump and his wife Melania took to the dance floor on Monday – minus her viral hat – where they danced to a cover of Elvis Presley’s An American Trilogy. Now a lip reader has revealed precisely what the President said.
With strange musical performances and a dash of conspiracy theories, Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday kicked off the next four years of his Presidency in spectacular fashion. He and Melania had a packed schedule in the evening, attending the Commander-in-Chief Ball, where they danced to Elvis, the Liberty Ball, and finally the Starlight Ball at Union Station.
A lip reader said Donald Trump talked about his victory
Speaking to Tyla, lip reader Jeremy Freeman said that a moment during the Commander-in-Chief Ball saw the President tell Melania “Nobody let me down today.” It’s not immediately clear whether he meant it as a warning or an appreciation for no one letting him down during the proceedings.
In another clip taken at the Liberty Ball, Melania allegedly whispered “Today is one we will never forget”, to which her husband replied, “You’re right there, I’ll learn I’ll fight.”
“I got you,” Melania replied, as her husband continued with, “We’ll see. Will you control it, unless it’s tricky less pushing away.”
“It’s a no,” Melania replied as Trump added: “I hear you.”
Finally, Melania said: “I waited for him until half an hour ago. But we can smile still.”
Elsewhere in the evening, Donald Trump made a series of questionable comments relating to Melania’s feet during his post-inauguration speech. Why? No idea, but it’s entertaining.

“Darling, I love you so much, but my feet are killing me,” he claimed Melania said when asked to take some pictures with adoring fans.
“I said, ‘Honey, let me just see how far it is’,” he continued to recall as aids said the distance was roughly 500 yards. “That’s five football fields. I said, ‘Can you make it?'”
