We’re looking for new writers, and The Bournemouth Tab needs you!

Come and join us in SUBU, Talbot Campus on Tuesday 11th February at 11am for our open meeting

The Bournemouth Tab is looking for budding new writers! From serious new reports, to fun student-based guides, we really do cover all the happenings in Bournemouth.

Fancy more information? We are having an open meeting on Tuesday 11th February at 11am, in the SUBU building on Talbot Campus.

At our meeting we will chat all things The Tab, and I am available to answer any and all questions. With me (Editor in Chief), will be our amazing team of editors for the current academic year, Gabz Farrugia (Features Editor), Emily Snelgrove (Social Media Editor) and Lucie Winter (News Editor).

We also hope to be joined by any current writers. Together, we can discuss all sectors of The Tab, to figure out which role you’d enjoy the most!

Writing for us requires no prior experience or portfolio, you’ll just need the want to get involved!

Writers at The Tab have also gone on to work for companies such as The Times, The Telegraph, Vogue, and The Tab’s HQ itself.

Pros of joining us

  • You will get the opportunity to try new places in and around Bournemouth;
  • You will be part of a dynamic, inclusive team;
  • We have monthly meetings, typically involving coffee;
  • Build your writing portfolio with guides and articles you write for us;
  • It looks great on your CV;
  • You’ll get the chance to write for the national site which gets nine million views per month.

…And the list goes on!

If you want further involvement, keep your eyes peeled on our posts, as we will be recruiting for an editorial team for the 2025/26 academic year.
