Squid Game Gi-hun actor finally reacts to spicy fan edits of him and the Front Man

He wasn’t opposed to them

Squid Game is currently the show to end all shows, and has dominated the Netflix charts for weeks. My TikTok For You page seems to be half theories and easter eggs, and half edits, thirst traps and love videos shipping Gi-hun and the Front Man together. Just about everyone has seen those spicy edits on TikTok, and Lee Jung-jae, who plays Gi-hun in Squid Game, is no different. People have been making the videos thinking Lee Jung-jae and the Squid Game cast would be way too busy to ever watch them, but boy, were they wrong.

At a Squid Game Netflix press event, Gi-hun actor Lee Jung-jae and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk were ambushed with videos of these hilarious edits, many of which they had already seen before.

Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk seemed to be LOVING it. “I think the Front Man is obsessed with Gi-hun,” he said with a smile, as if he wasn’t responsible for writing that in.

“Among fan videos, there are some slightly erotic vibes, like the two kissing each other,” Hwang continued, referencing the viral video of Gi-hun and the Front Man kissing circulating which was made with AI.

“Seeing it like this, it almost makes it feel like a gaze of love,” he smiled.

Lee Jung-jae seemed particularly coy over the videos, giggling to himself. Hwang asked him if he’d seen the videos before, and he said, “I have.” Hwang also said he’d sent the videos to Byung-hun, who plays the Front Man, who was “a bit shocked” by them.

He honestly seems to be their biggest fan. People in the comments were convinced too, with someone writing: “The creator is loving the ship though, look at him giggling and kicking his feet internally.”

Another said: “The fact the edits reached them and they are aware of this is killing me.”
