Okay, bear with: Explaining the viral, sexy milk scene from Babygirl

Dreadful day to be lactose intolerant

If you aren’t buzzing to see the sexy new film Babygirl, or if you were so buzzing that you already saw it on the weekend – I know you’re lying. The highly eyebrow raising erotic thriller stars Nicole Kidman as a CEO who begins a very kinky affair with a much younger sexy intern played by Harris Dickinson, and the film had so much chat and drama around it as soon as the trailer dropped – let alone before anyone saw the kinky desires play out on the big screen. So much so that one scene has already gone completely viral – and it’s the Babygirl milk scene. I know you’re gagging to know the ins and outs of this dairy dalliance, so here’s the viral Babygirl milk scene fully explained.

Perfect Monday morning reading, I’m sure you’ll agree.

Okay, here goes

Phwoar

So, Babygirl. Nicole Kidman plays Romy, a high powered CEO who runs an extremely successful company and has a happy home life with one major issue. Her husband, a theatre director played by Antonio Banderas, cannot make her come to completion when they sleep together. This results in Romy sneaking off for a little solo adventure at the end of whenever they have sex, which she feels deeply shameful about.

Enter, Samuel: A new intern at Romy’s company who once she sees him calm down an out of control dog is instantly drawn to him. Samuel is much younger than Romy, but has an inexplicable hold over him. Despite the age gap and major difference in power dynamic, Romy and Samuel get drawn closer and he senses how she likes being “told what to do”.

After the two share a kiss and Romy freaks out, the two can’t resist the tension between them. At a work drinks, Romy and Samuel lock eyes across the bar. Suddenly, a glass of milk turns up at Romy’s table and they don’t know where it’s come from. Romy senses Samuel sent it to her, and she looks him in the eyes and drinks it against the protestations of her female colleagues.

Later on, when Romy is about to leave, Samuel walks past her and utters a wild two word statement: “good girl.”

And thus, the fate of these two is sealed. The romp is on.

Milk is an important motif

All from that first encounter with the dog, there is a lot of milk that recurs throughout Babygirl – not just in the bar scene. Later on, Romy slurps milk from a saucer as Samuel watches, before he passionately licks the dribbles from around her mouth. Filth.
