The Hawk Tuah girl is in a *lot* of trouble, here’s exactly what she’s done now

She’s facing a huge amount of backlash for her actions

Oh dear, it seems Haliey Welch aka the Hawk Tuah girl is facing a lot of backlash and could be in serious trouble after she released her own Bitcoin and is now being accused of doing a “rug pull.”

Right, but let’s explain why the Hawk Tuah girl releasing her own Bitcoin has caused so much backlash and fury, as well as what a rug pull even is and why she could be facing legal action.

Haliey announced she would be releasing her own cryptocurrency Bitcoin called $HAWK, telling Fortune that the choice wasn’t “just a cash grab” and instead something to change people’s perception of cryptocurrency.

The coin was launched on Wednesday at a price of $0.005492, and quickly rose over 900 per cent in value before crashing by 91 per cent. The change meant its value went from roughy $490 million all the way down to $41 million, leaving a lot of buyers with a serious loss in profits.

One buyer angrily tweeted at Haliey: “I am a huge fan of Hawk Tuah but you took my life savings. I purchased your coin $Hawk that you were so excited about with my life savings and children’s college education fund as well.”

Due to how quickly the Hawk Tuah Bitcoin plummeted in value, some investors are now claiming Haliey carried out a rug pull, which involves the creator of said cryptocurrency selling their stock once the value peaks, leading the price to crash and leaving everyone else out of pocket.

Some who invested in the coin have even claimed they have filed complaints with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and since rug pulls are illegal she could be facing serious charges.

However, Haliey has now denied any accusations of selling her stock, as well as insisting none of her team sold any of their tokens.

She released a statement saying: “Hawkanomics: Team hasn’t sold one token and not 1 KOL was given 1 free token. We tried to stop snipers as best we could through high fee’s in the start of launch on @MeteoraAG. Fee’s have now been dropped.”
