Right, what’s going on with the wild rumours about Jim Carrey and Ariana Grande dating?!

Right, out of all of the wild dating rumours that manage to come out of TikTok this one about Jim Carrey and Ariana Grande has to be one of the most insane.

In case you have absolutely no idea what I’m going on about, it seems everyone online has collectively come together and decided that Jim Carrey and Ariana Grande have secretly been dating each other without anyone knowing for years.

Which, first off, is absolutely not true as Ariana is very happily dating Ethan Slater and has been since Wicked started filming. But as it turns out Ariana and Ji do actually know each other well and have an interesting relationship to say the least, so let’s get to the bottom of what’s going on here.

Well, Ariana previously confessed she actually has a huge crush on Jim Carrey during a 2015 interview on Live with Kelly and Michael where she admitted: “My childhood crush, my lifelong crush, it kind of all goes together. It’s Jim Carrey.”

She continued to tell the hosts about what it was like meeting him, explaining: “I was kind of nervous to meet him, you know, he’s been my crush forever. What if he’s not as nice as I’m expecting? He was so over-the-top nice, and perfect, and just as I hoped he’d be. He told me in his Jim Carrey way … ‘Remember, be nice.’ I was like, oh my god, you’re so cute.”

Whilst the pair don’t seem as close as they were and definitely are not dating each other, it’s clear Jim Carrey and Ariana Grande have a very wholesome friendship. Now we just need him to get one of her iconic quotes tattooed!
