There’s a confusing turn as Alex and Holly finally confirm relationship status after MAFS

Alex and Holly have finally confirmed where they stand after leaving MAFS UK. And now, I’m starting to wonder if they’ve been leading us on this whole time.

During the show, the couple split up and quit the experiment. Then, it looked as though they’d got back together. They were pictured kissing after filming had ended, and it was reported they “secretly reunited” to “give their relationship another go”. On top of this, the pair were posting loads of loved up pictures on Instagram. They even shared videos of them on a road trip date.

At the time, a source told The Sun: “Holly and Alex are secretly giving their relationship another go. They are taking baby steps at the moment and it’s not 100 per cent official, but they are testing the waters and trying to make things work.

“The pressure cooker of the experiment was too much for their relationship but now the show is over and no longer airing, they are quietly seeing if they can make a go of things a second time. They’ve always fancied each other like mad, so if they can work on their communication, they could be a really strong couple.”

Basically, what I’m getting at is that they wanted to have us all believe they were back together. They literally said they were. And now it looks like that was all for clout. Holly has now said they were never back together. She explained when they said they were “working things out” – they meant as friends. I’m rolling my eyes so hard right now.

During a Q&A on Instagram, Holly was asked why she’d “split up again with Alex”. She replied: “We was never back together, we was working on a friendship.” This was all despite Alex having recently written on his stories that he was “taken” and said “they aren’t done” when someone said they “knew it wasn’t the end of you and Holly.”

Honestly, with these two now, I’m done trying to keep track of it. I wish them well, but I’m out.
