‘I am related to Kate and Gerry’ says Julia, as she drops new Madeleine DNA ‘evidence’

This week, a girl who thinks she’s Madeleine McCann has reignited her attempts to reach out to the missing girl’s parents, Kate and Gerry. Yesterday, The Tab reported Julia Faustyna has relaunched her “I Am Madeleine McCann” Instagram profile, in which she shares “evidence” that she is Madeleine.

Julia first went viral at the start of 2023, nearly two years ago. Then, she started the Instagram page dedicated to finding out if she was Madeleine McCann, and had millions of followers. Julia said she had spoken to investigators on the case, and told The Tab she’d spoken to her family about her beliefs too, but they didn’t want to talk to her about it. Julia shared that she has a number of physical similarities to Madeleine, and had heard suspicious conversations had by her parents.

It all ended with Julia’s real parents speaking out, and police dismissing the claims. The DNA test results came back, and Julia’s claims were proved to be false. The tests showed that Julia is not of British heritage and was in fact from Poland. She then spoke out about regretting the claims. Her Instagram page was then taken down.

However now, she’s got the profile back – and is making new claims. Julia previously brought on a physic medium called Fia to represent her in the press, who now she’s claiming lied about DNA tests she did at the time.

Julia has now claimed a new doctor, through a DNA test done without Fia, has told her she *is* related to Kate and Gerry McCann. “Forensic DNA expert compared my DNA profile with Madeleine’s DNA profile and confirmed that I am related to Kate and Gerry McCann,” she has claimed. We have nothing but her word on this, and no physical proof, mind you.

Of course, people in the comments of her new Instagram posts are questioning her beliefs. “If you have evidence that you are related to Kate and Gerry, can you provide them with this? And how do you know this? What are the evidences,” one person asked. Julia replied: “It’s published on my Instagram.”

‘I am not begging for attention’

Julia has said she “knows more” now compared to 2023, and has had further conversations with her family about her upbringing and childhood, which have made her question her identity. She also said she has reached out again to Kate and Gerry, but they’ve ignored her.

Speaking of Kate and Gerry, another follower on the Instagram profile said to Julia: “I frankly wouldn’t bother, they aren’t interested. Get on with your life it’s short.” Julia replied to this: “Don’t tell me what I should do please. You wouldn’t bother but I am not you. I want the truth to come out and I am not going to give up.”

The follower then told her to “stop begging for attention”, to which Julia said: “It’s your opinion. I’m allowed to have mine. If you don’t like my actions, don’t follow my journey. I won’t give up. And I am not begging for attention.”
