Right, people on TikTok are convinced there are aliens in the ocean – here’s why

Did the government just confirm aliens are real?!

If your TikTok is anything like mine, your FYP is full of talk about aliens in the ocean.

People are totally convinced there is extra-terrestrial life in the world’s seas – but why?

Are there really aliens in the ocean? What’s actually going on? Here’s the lowdown.

Wait, are there aliens in the ocean?!

So, it all started last week when the US Congress held a hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), which is basically the new name for UFOs.

This is the second UAP hearing the US government has held to explore the world’s alien knowledge. The first one was held in July.

One of the first witnesses to testify was journalist Michael Shellenberger, who spoke about a video of a “white orb” flying out of the ocean just off the coast of Kuwait.

“A source told me they saw a 13-minute full-colour video of a ‘white orb UAP’ coming out of the ocean about 20 miles off the coast of Kuwait,” he said.

“It was filmed from a helicopter, then halfway though the video the person said the orb is joined by another orb that briefly comes into the frame from the left before rapidly moving out of the frame.”

“The person discovered the video on SIPR, the secure internet router network which the Department of Defence uses to transmit classified information.”

TikTok took it way too far

The video hasn’t been made public, but TikTok quickly got excited about the fact there could be aliens in the ocean.

“Wait so the government just confirmed that there are f***ing aliens in the ocean,” one person said.

Another said: “So we have aliens in the oceans and it’s not being discussed on every media front possible.”

“So apparently there’s aliens in the oceans, and nobody seems to care rightfully,” someone else added.

However, it’s all fake news. The US government hasn’t confirmed there are aliens in the ocean at all.

They are exploring the idea after the alleged sighting off the coast of Kuwait, but that’s literally as far as it goes.

As always, TikTok just took it way too far.
