What Halloween costumes did Warwick students wear to POP?

The best night of the week…

It’s the age old Warwick question: Are you going to POP!? Are you circling? The answer in my opinion (and as a social sec so I may be biased) should always be yes, especially on Halloween. Warwick students showed up in hoards this week, with some great costumes to match, so what did Warwick students wear for Halloween this year?

1.Caroline Bonnie and Elena

Want to dress as your favourite TV character and they happen to be kinda Halloweeny? Check. Have a slightly more unique costume than the other basic vampire costumes? Check. Yes ok, I am biased on this one because this is my Halloween costume, but it has to be said we are slaying.

2. Harley Quinn

I love everything about this costume, including the makeup and I saw no one else wearing it so bonus points for originality this year.

3. Playboy bunny

Is it a bit basic? Yes. Does it always look great? Also yes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Hugh Hefner fan, but a playboy bunny does make a pretty fun Halloween costume and you can usually reuse the pieces for another costume which is always useful.

4. Kiss, marry, kill

This is a costume we’ve been seeing more of in the past few years and I think it’s really fun. It’s also pretty versatile and makes a great trio costume (justice for trios).

5. Angels and Britney Spears

An angel is the OG halloween costume and it may be a bit generic but it always hits the mark. Britney slays and can be a great last minute costume as you probably have all the pieces in you wardrobe already.

6. Perry the platypus and Elsa

We love to see some original costumes. Is it an unlikely pairing of characters? Yes. Does it work? Also yes.

7. Superman and cowgirl

A superhero is a fan favourite costume, as is a cowgirl and I saw many people walking round POP! dressed as one. That being said, I think they’re fun and easily recognisable which in my opinion is pretty important for a Halloween costume.

8. Disney Princesses

I have seen this costume all over TikTok and I’m loving it. It’s very cutesy and very demure and I’m so here for the resurgence of princesses. It’s also a great costume to tailor to how committed you want to be. Whack on a crown and a yellow dress and you have yourself a Belle costume, or commit fully and get the tiara, gloves, shoes etc…

9. Pirates

Another classic but there’s a reason why it’s a classic. It looks great, it’s fun and can make a great group costume or a solo one.

10. Peaky Blinders

This is such a fun costume that everyone recognises. Is it a little overdone? Maybe. But it always looks great. PS: If you’re smart you can rewear the shirt to Skool Dayz.

11. Hippies

I have to say I have never seen this costume in person before and I think it’s really fun, if potentially a little last minute. Big points for thinking outside the box.

12. Donald Trump

Is it maybe a bit controversial? Yes. Is it also very topical? Yes. But is it pretty funny? Also yes. We love a politically interested king.
