From private schooling to fancy estates: Caspar from MAFS UK and his rich, rich life
Not the £22k a year boarding school
A new season of MAFS UK has kicked off, and one of the first 2024 grooms we were introduced to was posh country boy, Caspar. He’s previously been unlucky in love, and is looking for the perfect wife to fit in with his countryside life.
It was extremely clear from very early on, Caspar lives what most would call a very good life. He spoke of countryside walks, a private school upbringing and now living among nature – most of us could only dream.
So here’s a full insight into the life of MAFS UK 2024 groom Caspar Todd, and just how rich he is. Enjoy!
Caspar from MAFS UK is 34 and lives in the New Forest

34-year-old Caspar Todd left the big city to live a more peaceful life, and now calls the New Forest home. He has never had a serious relationship before now, and has put this down to his lack of self confidence. Ahead of MAFS UK 2024, Caspar said: “The worst thing I’ve ever done in a relationship is being too clingy and scared them away, rather than giving them space to learn to love me.”
Caspar lives out in the country with his two dogs, Winston and Bridget. He prides himself on being a countryside lover, and finds fun in things like recently attending the Sturminster Cheese Festival.
He’s head gardener of a swanky private estate
Ahead of being on MAFS UK 2024, Caspar has been working as head gardener on a very fancy private country estate in the New Forest. Before this, he was an estate agent in London.
The estate he works at is Lepe Estate in Hampshire, and yes, it’s super boujee. Located on the south coast of Hampshire, the estate features a number of iconic properties, ancient woodland, pasture fields, extensive gardens and a privately-owned beach. It’s located on the mouth of the Beaulieu River, with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight.
It’s all private property, and it gets a few shoutouts in publications such as Country File, which names it “one of the finest gardens on the south coast.” As well as its gardens, the estate also has a number of flats, terraced properties and houses for rent on a long-term basis.
His gardening doesn’t end at work, as his Instagram shows him cooking up a storm in the kitchen, using the fresh ingredients he’s grown. His Instagram handle is @casparinthecountry and his bio says he is a “general countryside lover” – if you hadn’t grasped his vibe yet.
Caspar went to a £22k a year boarding school
During MAFS, Caspar revealed he went to boarding school with his sister. The school he attended was Hall School in Wimbledon, where fees are currently set at up to £7,360 per term. There are three terms in the academic year, which means to study there costs just over £22k a year.
Ok we get it, you’re rich!
