It’s back: Nominations for The York Tab’s BNOC competition 2023 are OPEN

Time to start nominating your favourite campus celebrities

As we reach the end of York’s first ever semester (oooooh) the time has come for The York Tab to revive our infamous BNOC competition.

It’s been a while, so for those of you who don’t know, BNOC stands for Big Name On Campus. We want to know who has gained that reputation this semester. Not sure who to nominate? Do you have any friends or flatmates who seem to be actual celebrities? The kind of people who you can’t go anywhere with, whether it be walking through campus or on the dance floor at Salvos, without them being greeted by seemingly hundreds of other students. These are the type of people who are deserving of the BNOC title.

Whatever the reason, if somebody you know has come to mind following that description, we want to know.

Nominations for this competition are now OPEN, so fill in the Google form below with the details of whoever you think deserves to be recognised as BNOC 2023. Nominations are completely anonymous, so yes, you could potentially nominate yourself.

Be nice and speedy with your nominations this week, as the form will close on the Thursday 7th December. Then, those with the most nominations will be entered into rounds of voting over the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye on our Instagram for updates, and for the chance to have your say.

You can find the form to nominate your BNOC 2023 here.
