All of the insane and secretive Easter eggs we spotted in Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer
The iconic Cheetah car is back again!
If there’s one thing better than a trailer, it’s re-watching it 100 times whilst trying to spot any Easter eggs the developers have left in for us. And Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer is absolutely chock-full of Easter eggs, although what else would we expect from such an iconic studio?
From references to previous games, real-life criminals and meta-jokes, here are all of the Easter eggs that you missed in Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer.
The car from Vice City still spawns in the same location in GTA 6
GTA 6 takes a lot of inspiration from GTA Vice City, and the trailer pays homage to that in a brief shot featuring some very expensive cars. One vehicle might spark a sense of deja vu as it was included in GTA Vice City.
The car is parked in the exact same place it was spawned in Vice City and one Redditor said: “The yellow car is parked outside the ocean view where it usually spawns in Vice City.”
Flannigan’s restaurant chain Easter egg
A Flannigan’s logo can be seen on the door of the store that is about to be raided. This is a direct reference to a chain of restaurants that are found in the South of Florida.
Florida man spoof Easter egg
Most Read
Everyone knows the Florida man meme, and the trailer includes someone called the Leonida man – which is likely a reference to the iconic meme.
Real-life joker from Florida
Another notable figure from Florida who appears in the trailer is the infamous Florida Joker criminal. Back in 2022, a model from the state was arrested, with the case going viral after his mugshot and facial tattoos resembled the Joker from the DC comics. It definitely looks like the developers used him for some inspo.
Patriot beer
Patriot beer was featured in GTA 4 and GTA 5 and appeared in the trailer for GTA 6 as well.
The iconic Cheetah car
The Cheetah is a popular GTA car that’s appeared in every main game since GTA 3 and popped up again as an Easter egg in Rockstar’s GTA 6 trailer. The personalised number plate is not a want but a need.
Knock-off Louis Vuitton brands
The premium fashion brand Sessanta Nove has returned, with its trademark SN logo, a clear rip-off of the Louis Vuitton logo. The knock-off brand appeared in GTA 5 for the first time, and the joke is that Sessanta Nove is Italian for 69.
Pharmaceutical company satire
In a rather depressing joke, there’s an ad for a pill called Angstipan (an apparent parody of angina medicine Angispan), saying it “cures emotions.” The disclaimer at the bottom says: “Patients 18-65 should use with extreme caution. Sudden urge to blink could be life-threatening. Call your doctor if your erection lasts more than 4 hours. Results may vary.” Ah, the wonders of modern medicine
Weird-looking banknotes
When Lucia is shown holding cash while sitting in the car, the money doesn’t say The United States of America, it says “The United States of Paranoia.” Is Rockstar trying to tell us something?
Stores won’t accept ‘cash stored in underwear’
One sign on a liquor store says that they will “no longer accept cash stored in underwear.” Classy clientele only.
