Kady McDermott ‘has a secret boyfriend’ who met up with her days before she entered the villa

Kady McDermott reportedly has a secret boyfriend who has been charged with money laundering, according to The Sun.

Kady re-entered the villa as a bombshell during the latest season of Love Island and coupled up with Zachariah. However, it has since been reported she has been in a relationship for more than a year with Liam Greer.

When approached by The Sun about the relationship, Liam said: “I’ve got nothing to say about that.” A spokesperson for ITV later confirmed: “Kady was single at the time of entering the villa.”

It has been said Kady McDermott and secret boyfriend Liam had a “romantic getaway” in February 2022 at London’s Bvlgari Hotel, when Liam was under police investigation. The pair later went on holiday to the Maldives and Ibiza later that year.

As reported by The Sun, Liam Greer was later charged with acquiring criminal property and admitted laundering £359,700 on April 20th 2023. He pleaded guilty and is due to be sentenced later this week.

Liam and Kady were recently spotted leaving Kady’s Hertfordshire home up until the week she flew out to Mallorca to appear on Love Island.

“Kady has remained tight-lipped over her mystery man Liam after previous high profile relationships and splits,” a source claimed.

“She should have been aware of the police investigation as detectives went looking for him at her house. It could be why their relationship has been shrouded in secrecy – but that hasn’t stopped them going from strength to strength.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A police investigation by specialist officers has resulted in a man pleading guilty to laundering over £300,000.

“Liam Greer, 30, from Watford, Herts pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing at Harrow Crown Court to laundering £359,700. He will be sentenced at the same court on Friday, 7 July.

“The conviction follows an investigation by officers from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime.”
