Ekin-Su says she’s ‘lost every friend’ she ever had since appearing on Love Island

In an interview she’s admitted her only friend now is Davide

Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su has said when she left the villa she lost every friend she ever had. She won the show with Davide, and says with him she is the happiest she’s ever been, but has reflected on having no mates after finding fame.

“I’ve lost every friend I had,” Ekin-Su admitted in an interview. “I don’t have any friends. I have one friend and that’s it.” She put losing her circle down to seeing “people’s true colours” since she won the show, and said people she was closest to resorted to selling stories about her to the press.

“Unfortunately, with the fame, you see people’s true colours,” she said. “People just want to be your friend because of your status, and it’s a hard industry to trust. Unfortunately, I had that coming out of the villa, I had to delete people out of my life. But I am happier this way.”

Davide and Ekin-Su are currently living together in a four-bed flat in London, and had a lot of scandal surrounding them recently – when Davide was accused of texting and seeing other women. The last few months have also been dramatic on the PR front for Ekin-Su – having been dropped from huge brand deals.

Ekin-Su was reported to have sent a “tirade” of messages in a rant to a model over rumours she slept with Davide. The Love Island winners then went on a “make or break holiday” before deciding to put the whole drama behind them.

This came shortly after Ekin-Su was dropped from her £1million Oh Polly deal, and was later dropped by Beauty Works.
