During new episodes of Queer Eye, a tribute is made to a man called Jemell M Nelson. His name comes up on a tribute card at the end of season seven, episode seven.

Jemell played a very important role in the show and sadly passed away late last year at the age of 32. Here’s everything we know about Jemell M Nelson, what happened to him and why he was so important to Queer Eye on Netflix.

Jemell has been described as a hard working and determined guy. He was a Production Assistant for Queer Eye on season seven.

From reports online, it has been claimed Jemell M Nelson passed away in the early morning hours of 14th November 2022. He was 31 years old at the time. There were reported shots of gunfire heard at around 2am and he was found dead with several gunshot wounds by the time officials arrived.

According to reports, Jemell studied Pre-Med Biology at the University of New Orleans but found his new career after the pandemic.

Jemell is survived by his great-grandmother Una Barnes, mother Constanza Porche, father Michael Nelson, brother Shelton Magee III, and sisters Zhane’ Nelson as well as Zaria Nelson.
