Jake Paul Tommy Fury's feud

Here’s everything you need to know about the feud between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury

It’s been going on for TWO years

Jake Paul versus Tommy Fury will be a celebrity boxing match like no other. The idea of YouTubers and social media stars being boxers was unheard of until KSI and Joe Weller stepped in the ring and the rest is history.

Being the younger brother of Tyson Fury, Tommy was already a boxer but his profile was raised by starring on Love Island in 2019. Jake Paul has been a popular figure on social media for years and is now set to face Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia on Sunday the 26th of February.

The two have been feuding with each other for as long as anyone can remember and a lot of people will probably be glad once their constant social media bickering comes to an end. But where did their rivalry stem from and how did it get to them fighting one another? Here’s everything you need to know about Jake Paul and Tommy Fury’s feud.

‘If Tyson Fury took a sh*t it would be his little brother’

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury’s feud began two years ago, when Tyson Fury was duped by false viewing figures. In March 2021, Saul Alvarez beat Anvi Yildirim in a fight which was the same night Tommy knocked out Scott Williams at the Cooper Box Arena. Tyson suggested that Tommy’s fight had beaten Canelo’s via viewing figures, but he couldn’t have been more wrong.

In a tweet, Tyson said: “Massive congratulations to Tommy Fury for smashing records on BT Sport. Tommy slaughtered to competition over the weekend. Including America’s biggest boxing star Canelo Alvarez. Wow. Just wow. Jake Paul where you at?”

The figures that Tyson quoted where false but it was then when the drama began. It was Jake Paul’s response that egged on the beef even more and he said: “I didn’t even know he had a brother. I like Tyson Fury, I don’t want beef with Tyson Fury but damn, if Tyson Fury took a sh*t it would be his little brother, he’s literally like this little kid.”

Tommy Fury hit back at the comment and stuck one some blonde hair extensions to mimic the younger Paul brother. In a video mocking Jake, Tommy said: “Sorry bro, I didn’t see you there, I was too busy being a massive p***y. Jesus Christ, I don’t know how you take yourself seriously looking like this.

“My god. I’ve put it on a plate for you, I’ve asked if you wanted to fight, and you’ve decided to laugh it off, as per usual. Stick to your little YouTube videos behind your little desk and don’t come over to this boxing world because you’ll get laid out in 30 seconds flat.”

Jake claimed that Molly-Mae slid into his Instagram DMs

The rivalry between the pair then got a bit personal when Jake Paul claimed Molly-Mae had messaged him on Instagram in 2018. In the screenshot, the alleged message said: “Might be coming to America later this year and have always been a fan of your videos. Maybe you can show me around?!”

Molly-Mae fans were quick to come to her defence when they realised the white heart emoji used in the message hadn’t been introduced until 2019, yet the message was from 2018. Yikes!

Molly responded in a savage tweet and said: “Times must be hard when you’re having to fake a DM. Photoshop is scary.”

Jake said Tommy dancing topless as ‘the most embarrassing thing’ he had seen

In September 2021, Tommy Fury was videoed in a nightclub while he was topless and beating his chest in Liverpool. Jake branded the video as “the most embarrassing thing” he had seen. He mocked the impression in a video and went on to say: “My closest friends, coaches, teammates. If I’m ever at a club, shirtless, at a table by myself going like this. Someone pull me out of that f***ing club, immediately.”

Tommy withdrew from the first fight and Jake called him the ‘biggest b***h in boxing’

After months of back and forth digs at one another, the pair had a fight in on the table. The press conference, as to be expected, was chaotic and Tommy Fury’s dad was fuming with Jake Paul for wearing sunglasses throughout the whole conference. The fight never happened in the end after Tommy has to withdraw due to a rib injury.

Jake then called tommy the a bitch due to pulling out of the fight. Classy. He said: “It is official, Tommy Fury is boxing’s biggest b***h, he has pulled out of the fight, the Fury’s have pulled out of the fight due to a medical condition. Who knows what the f*** is going on in that camp, I think he has a bad case of persitis. I couldn’t believe the news at first, it still doesn’t seem real.”

Their second fight fell through when Tommy was denied entry to the US

Jake Paul and Tommy Fury’s feud rumbled on when the pair organised another fight, and it was cancelled… again. Tommy and Jake were set to fight in August 2022 at Madison Square Garden, but then it fell through after Tommy was denied entry into the USA.

Tommy explained to his followers what had happened and said he and his team were pulled aside by a Homeland Security officer and was told his ESTA had been denied and he was unable to travel to the USA.

Jake announced the birth of Molly-Mae and Tommy’s baby

In a new low, Jake Paul announced to the world that Molly-Mae had given birth. In a tweet, Jake said: “Tommy has no excuses now. Baby’s born. Money’s massive. Immigration no issue. Tyson promises he and papa will make Tomy retire from boxing and change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber. Tomorrow I’m coming to London to look at all three Fury’s in the eye and shake on that promise.”

Tommy and Molly didn’t address the comment and when they announced the baby news, Jake commented: “Just in time to watch your dad get knocked out.”

Jake Paul later said he didn’t realise he had leaked the news. Speaking to SportBible, Jake said: “Did I do that? I leaked it? Oh sh*t. My bad. I’m sorry Tommy. But don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone the gender of anything like that.”
