Love Is Blind UK host Matt Willis emotionally admits he gets nightmares about relapsing
He's been sober for eight years
Love Is Blind UK host Matt Willis emotionally opened about still getting nightmares that he’s relapsed, after he’s been sober for eight years.
During his podcast On The Mend, his guest asked Matt whether he still “sometimes has nightmares about being back on the alcohol?”
Matt responded: “Oh yeah, drinking and using dreams I call them, yeah all the time. Well not all the time, but occasionally, yeah it scares me.”

Matt Willis admitted that he spent years hiding the truth of how bad his struggled with addiction from his wife and Love Is Blind UK co-host Emma were. As such, he now feels like he needs to be transparent with her about everything, something he joked has “bored her to death.”
He continued: “My wife is bored to death of me telling her everything, but I can’t keep a secret, I can’t keep anything, if something happens I have to tell her straight away.
“I don’t wanna have that feeling inside of me any more that I am keeping anything back.”
Matt added that he used to be “amazing” at lying before he became sober, but is now an absolutely “terrible liar.”

Matt recently celebrated eight years of sobriety, sharing: “This one feels different. It marks the same length of time I had before my last relapse and this time I know I’m in a completely different place.
“I didn’t really wanna tell anyone as I was scared of relapsing because I relapsed so many times.
“I said I would never do it again and I f*cking done it again, I had broken that promise so many times and so I was scared of putting it out there because I was scared I would do it again and everyone would go ‘ha!'”
