Drag Race stars Violet Chachki and Gottmik slammed for cozying up to Marilyn Manson

Marilyn has previously been accused of sexual abuse

RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Violet Chachki and Gottmik have been slammed for being pictured with Marilyn Manson during an event for his birthday.

Marilyn Manson has been a longstanding controversial figure in the music industry, and in 2021 his former partner Evan Rachel Wood accused him of psychologically and sexually abusing her.

Following her accusations, more than a dozen other women also came forward with similar accusations against him.


Marilyn has always denied sexually assaulting or abusing anyone, claiming that his “intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.”

He underwent a court hearing at the start of January 2025, and ultimately did not face any criminal charges after he was accused of rape and abuse.

District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a statement at the time that the statute of limitations had run out on the domestic violence allegations and that prosecutors did not believe they could prove the rape charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

He stated: “We recognize and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences, and we thank them for their cooperation and patience with the investigation.

“While we are unable to bring charges in this matter, we recognize that the strong advocacy of the women involved has helped bring greater awareness to the challenges faced by survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.”

An attorney for Marilyn Manson, Howard King, said in a statement: “We are very pleased that, after a thorough and incredibly lengthy review of all of the actual evidence, the District Attorney has concluded what we knew and expressed from the start — Brian Warner is innocent.”

Gottmik and Violet Chachki have been called out by Drag Race viewers, with one person tweeting: “Always disappointing seeing drag queens cozy up next to known r*pists/abusers. It’s disgusting and inexcusable. F*cking loser behavior.”
