Angie K’s husband Shawn breaks silence on backlash he’s getting for his political views
He shut down speculation that he's far right
EXCLUSIVE: Angie K‘s husband on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Shawn Trujillo, has finally broken his silence on all the backlash he’s getting for his political views. After RHOSLC viewers began noticing who he follows online, eyebrows were raised.
He’s now defended himself, saying he is “not far right” and that the speculation going round is “nonsense”. It was discovered he follows tJoe Rogan, Robert F Kennedy Jr, Senator John Kennedy, Dana White, Lara Trump, Erika Kirk, and the late Charlie Kirk.
Shawn told Reality Shrine: “I don’t have anything to add other than I’m not far right. It’s nonsense. I gather info. Both right and left but for some reason they only pick up on the right. Everything that is being talked about is all based on assumptions.”

He added: “None of these people bring up the fact that I follow CNN and Andersen Cooper or Van Jones. Add Bill Maher. This Andrew Tate business is crazy. I didn’t even know who he was but as a car enthusiast, I started following him based on automobiles.”
“My views are more centrist. I have tremendous support for the lgbtq community and the ability to have every right we all have. My biggest challenge is that everyone thinks they should think like them or get canceled. It’s bananas,” Shawn went on.
He concluded: “I have many friends with different beliefs and I always have love and respect for my friends regardless of political or religious beliefs. If I hit a like on a friends post it to be supportive of a friend not necessarily with the content. Make sense?”
