Jeff Lazkani finally addressed claims he doesn’t support Selling Sunset’s Chelsea financially
She previously claimed 'I don't receive any support at all'
Life after Selling Sunset just got very off-script.
At the season nine reunion, Chelsea Lazkani stated that she doesn’t receive any financial help from ex-husband Jeff.
People took that and ran, and Jeff says the hate in his DMs has been intense. Now, after months of staying quiet, he’s posted a multi-slide Instagram Story laying out his side of the divorce, the cheating rumours and, most of all, the money.
Let’s rewind what Chelsea actually said on camera and then delve into how Jeff officially entered the chat.
What did Chelsea say at the reunion?

During the Selling Sunset season nine reunion, the drama kicked off when a clip played of Mary Bonnet questioning Chelsea’s “struggling single mom act,” saying Chelsea had a “rich ex-husband that pays her support.”
Chelsea immediately corrected the narrative, through tears, telling the room she doesn’t “receive any support at all” from Jeff.
She added that every dollar that covers her home, life and kids comes from her own work.
That hit harder because we already knew from court filings that Chelsea requested joint physical and legal custody of their two kids, Maddox and Melia, plus spousal support when she filed for divorce in March 2024.
On the show and in later interviews, she’s leaned into the story of rebuilding as a single parent, stressing that she’s keeping her household afloat herself and that her children’s stability is her top priority.
So by the time the reunion aired, the audience takeaway was pretty clear: Jeff wasn’t paying up, and Chelsea was doing it all solo.
Jeff finally addressed the claims

Fast-forward to now, and Jeff has finally broken his silence via a long Instagram Story.
In it, he says the show doesn’t tell the full story, pointing out that Selling Sunset films months before it airs and that producers lean into drama.
On the financial question, Jeff directly contradicts Chelsea’s reunion statement.
He insists he does provide financial support for their children and calls what was said on the show a “misstatement of the truth.”
In the same breath, he says he and Chelsea share 50/50 custody, live only a few blocks apart, and are in “a good place” co-parenting their two kids.
Jeff made it clear that the couple’s children’s well-being is the driving force behind every decision and that he’ll always act in their best interests.
Chelsea’s ex also uses the statement to shut down cheating rumours, saying their marriage ended “long before” any alleged infidelity storyline hit reality TV and that there was no cheating on his part.
He notes this is the first time he’s spoken publicly since the split and that he only did it because of the online hate he’s been getting since the reunion aired.
