The Central Park tower penthouse was heavily featured on Owning Manhattan, and it cost a whopping $250 million – but did it ever actually get sold by Ryan Serhant? The glamorous property is inside the tallest residential building in the entire world.
Sadly, it was not sold. In fact, you can’t buy it even if you wanted to, because it was taken off the market in mid-2024. The price was even reduced and yet it still didn’t get a buyer, but on an awkward note, Ryan’s competitor, Fredrik Eklund, sold a home in the same building.
Eklund, who appeared on Million Dollar Listing New York alongside Serhant, sold a different, smaller penthouse in the building for $115 million, marking the city’s first sale over $100 million since 2022! Yet the tallest Central Park tower penthouse remains unsold.

It aimed to set a record as the most expensive home in the United States, but the broker no longer represents the home. The price was reduced to $195 million in late 2023, for a massive triplex with seven bedrooms, nine and a half baths, and extensive outdoor space.
The property was described as The One Above All Else on the Netflix show, and was pulled off the market literally one week after it aired on Owning Manhattan season one. SERHANT continued to represent the property up until the show’s premiere in June 2024.
When the price was lowered last year, Extell Founder Gary Barnett explained to Elite Daily that the original asking prices were meant to be “headline prices” and even revealed the reduction was a strategy “to get serious” about selling the property, on Billionaires’ Row.
There are several apartments still up for sale at Central Park Tower, the most expensive one being priced at $125 million. That’s the one on the floor just beneath the one that failed to sell, situated across floors 127-128, and has eight bedrooms with nine and a half bathrooms.
