Dakota just revealed the real reason he was acting so shady at the Mormon Wives reunion
'I didn't even want to go'
Dakota Mortensen just broke his silence on *that* Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion episode drama.
In a raw Instagram reel, Dakota claimed the reason he acted so shady at the Mormon Wives reunion was far more serious than spilled secrets or reality TV dramatics.
In a post-reunion statement, Dakota admitted something he’s been working on and said he’s been dealing with a battle that played a major role in his behaviour during the reunion.

In a new Instagram post, Dakota took the opportunity to clear up rumours about how he acted at the reunion.
He described the episode as a sh**show, and added that he’s seen videos circulating that he’s “high or have relapsed.”
“There are very few things I feel proud of when it comes to myself, and I think one of those is being Ever’s dad and my recovery.”
He continued: “For me, I am proud of myself because I have stayed sober through some of the hardest sh** I have ever been through in my entire life… even in that situation or that setting, that is why it’s so hard on me… I am actually facing a lot of those situations and settings sober for the first time ever in my life.”
Dakota added: “My body is in full fight or flight the whole time. I’ve been sober this whole time, and apparently, to everybody else in the world, I’m not. And, honestly, it hurt.”
“I just want to clear up some things,” he continued.
“If you think I have the power to kick the girls off the stage, thank you, that means a lot to me. I don’t have the power to do that.
“Did I know her parents were gonna be there? No. Did I know any of that was going to happen? No. So, that’s called blindside, blindside, blindside, blindside. I didn’t even want that, I didn’t even wanna go.”
Dakota continued: “I also had a cease and desist, so if you see me stuttering trying to explain stuff, my bad. I’ve never had one of those in my life. I’m petrified. I don’t know sh**. I’m sitting here scared to death to say anything.”
He has a message for any “bullies”
As much as I hate seeing Dakota on slomw, I have to admit, watching him lie is so fascinating and entertaining. Like what the fuck is he doing on this Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion?? pic.twitter.com/wpWZMibBKu

Dakota added that he was “thankful” for the supportive people who “checked in” on him and “didn’t continue to be bullies.”
He continued: “I hope that you guys [bullies] never go through something really hard.
“I promise you I will never actually do what you guys have done to me, ever. I will never do that to you. When you’re down… I’m not gonna sh** on you when you’re down, even if I don’t like you.
“I just wanted to check in because it’s been a while, and I took a little break there because I was struggling a little bit,” he said.
Dakota added in the post’s caption: “I do feel like I’m in a really good place right now and I’m going to keep striving to be a better version of myself.”
