Jen pleaded guilty 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud
RHOSLC star Jen Shah is expected to be released from prison earlier than expected, so why is she being released after two and a half years despite being sentenced to six?
Jen Shah is reportedly set to be released on December 10th, 2025

According to People, Jen Shah has been approved to depart prison on December 10th, after she started her sentence in February 2023 for her role in running a nationwide telemarketing scheme.
Jen Shah’s manager told People: “Everyone’s very grateful for the BOP’s decision, especially because it means Jen will be able to reunite with her family for the holidays. It’s a gift she doesn’t take for granted.”
He continued: “Jen’s in a really positive, hopeful place mentally. She’s done a lot of reflecting and real growth during her time away, and is genuinely not the same woman as she was before.
“Her focus is on her family and building a healthier, more grounded life.
“She understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.”

A representative for the Federal Bureau of Prisons stated: “For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss any incarcerated individual’s conditions of confinement or specific release plans.”
Jen Shah will be released from the Federal Prison Camp in Texas, a minimum security facility with the RHOSLC star also being housed alongside inmates Elizabeth Holmes and Ghislaine Maxwell.
She pled guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, stating at her sentencing: “I am sorry. My actions have hurt innocent people. I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.”
So why has Jen Shah’s prison sentence been reduced?

Her sentence has been reduced multiple times since she entered prison, with the board explaining the reductions as a result of good behavior, participation in prison programming and financial payments she has begun making to victims.
Her sentence was oiginally cut by one year in March 2023, then by an additional eight months in October 2024, another in January when her release was moved to November 3rd, 2026 and a fourth reduction in August which moved her departure to August 30th, 2026.
