According to reports from CBS News Atlanta, Mia Thornton, whose legal name is Mia Fields-Thornton, was arrested at HartsfieldโJackson Atlanta International Airport on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The arrest came after police discovered she had an active warrant connected to an alleged furniture theft.
Fox 5 Atlanta reports that the case stems from Mia and a man identified as Jared McGriff moving out of a furnished Atlanta condo on October 28. When the property owner later checked the unit, several items were said to be missing, including a mounted TV and other furniture valued at around eleven thousand dollars. The condo management filed a complaint, which led to the warrant being issued.
TMZ says bodycam footage from the arrest shows Mia speaking with officers and acknowledging she knew the warrant existed. She was booked into Fulton County Jail, and as of now, she has not made any public statement about the allegations. The Wrap also notes that she relocated to Atlanta earlier this year after departing RHOP following four seasons.

Since people saw the news, a lot have been searching about what larceny even is.
So, what exactly is larceny? Itโs basically the unlawful taking of someone elseโs property without permission, paired with the intention to keep it permanently.
These days, many states just use the word “theft,” but the idea is still the same. There has to be both the act of taking something that isnโt yours and the intention not to return it, according to Cornell Law Schoolโs Legal Information Institute.
The Wrap explains that in Georgia, theft-related charges are determined largely by the value of what was taken. With the missing items valued at roughly $11,000, the situation could fall into felony territory if prosecutors decide the evidence supports it.
Even so, an arrest is not a conviction. Mia will be able to respond to the allegations in court, and the outcome will depend on the evidence and how her legal team chooses to frame the events.
CBS News Atlanta confirms she remains in Fulton County Jail following the airport arrest.
