All the banned items players were strictly forbidden to take into Squid Game: The Challenge
They had to make lip balm out of condoms?!
If you were an upcoming cast member on Squid Game: The Challenge, you might wonder if you’d be able to sneak in certain items in order to make the challenges easier.
Well, as it turns out production had clearly thought about that, as there are various banned items that players were strictly prohibited from bringing in with them. So, let’s find out what they are.
The cast of season one of Squid Game: The Challenge spilled the secrets on what items they couldn’t have on them, with Mel aka Player 326 revealing all in a TikTok.
@lil_thee_boy Replying to @Yuli🌻 #greenscreen yes! It was a compltely immersive experience… and let me tell you your girl was immsersed 😳 #squidgamethechallenge #squidgamenetflix #squidgame
She explained that they couldn’t take in “anything except from from contacts, glasses or medication that was pre-approved by show bosses.” So basically nothing then.
Mel revealed that cast members weren’t even allowed to take lip balm in with them, resulting in players having to use the condoms in the bathroom in order to make their own lip balm. Hmm, lubey.
Also the fact that there were even condoms in the bathroom to begin with? Is this Love Island or what?!

Another contestant revealed that they weren’t even allowed to bring a change of clothes, and players had to wear the same tracksuit for the entirety of their time on the show.
He said: “We weren’t allowed to bring a single personal item with us, not even lip balm or a watch. We were given a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, and a bum bag.
“All of the contestants were given one green tracksuit which we wore throughout the entire series. We did get fresh underwear every day and there was a deodorising spray in the shower to freshen ourselves up.” God, I can imagine the smell in those dormitories already.
