Here’s where Squid Game: The Challenge is filmed, and it’s not where you’d expect
I would have never guessed this location
The new season of Squid Game: The Challenge has released, with the filming location for it not being where I would have expected.
The location of the reality show looks exactly like the original show, down to the dormitories with a lot of the CGI props from the show being recreated in real life for the real life series.

This includes the giant piggy bank and glass trapdoors, with the trapdoors actually being made out of steel and solid Perspex tops to recreate the look of glass.
So, now back to where the filming location for Squid Game: The Challenge is and it’s in none other than Barking in East London.
The majority of the series was filmed at Wharf Studios, which is a ten acre facility, with six huge soundstages used to recreate the environment from the original Netflix series.

However, the filming location for one key sequence from Squid Game: The Challenge wasn’t filmed at Wharf Studios as it wasn’t big enough for the scene.
The Red Light, Green Light sequence had to be filmed at Cardington Studios in Bedford, which is the largest indoor filming space in the whole of Europe. The warehouse is 10,000 square feet which was built in the 1920s to house zeppelins.
