The rapper Smilez owns a $50 million mansion on Selling Sunset, but how is he so rich?
It turns out he's a haircare nepo baby
During episode seven of Selling Sunset, we meet a rapper called Smilez who is looking to sell his $50 million mansion, but how exactly did he get so rich in the first place?
You’d think that to have a property worth that much you would have at least heard of him, but I genuinely had to look up who Smilez was.

And whilst Smilez himself hasn’t exactly had the most lucrative career, the real wealth comes from the haircare dynasty his family started.
Smilez briefly mentions during the Selling Sunset episode that his mother founded Bed Head, a hugely successful haircare company which has made the family incredibly rich.
As it turns out, the company is owned by Toni and Guy, who have over 300 hair salons around the world alongside a vast array of haircare products.
And who would have known, but Smilez’s uncles actually originally founded Toni and Guy, with their Brother Bruno becoming the CEO of the company, who is none other than Smilez’s father.

Bruno then started a haircare line called TIGI, which Bed Head was part of, with him selling the company in 2019 to Unilever for a truly eye wateringly $412 million.
His whole family almost certainly still has some significant stocks in the haircare industry too, with Bruno’s net worth being estimated to be around $525 million.
And according to estimates, Smilez has a net worth of around $5 million, so that mega mansion is absolutely owned by his parents.
So basically it seems like their son and aspiring rapper Smilez is still living with his very rich parents and whilst it seems like he’s made a successful career on his Selling Sunset appearance, he’s really just a nepo baby.
