People are here for the All’s Fair actress making bold moves with her own wardrobe. But, when it comes to North West, Kim’s creative control has turned into total controversy.
North steps out in a ‘controversial outfit’
In August 2025, Kim came under fire when North stepped out wearing an outfit people deemed to be “too adult.”
Kim told Jazzy that she loves North’s “creativity” and “her own style,” adding how she loves to see her daughter “express herself.”
At 12, North’s look caught folks’ attention, but what was really concerning for people was the fact Kim had seemingly okay-ed the whole thing.
The mom and daughter were spotted leaving a restaurant together, with North wearing platform boots and a tight corseted top alongside a short skirt.
Kim breaks her silence on the fashion moment
Breaking her silence on the whole thing, Kim said during an episode of Call Her Daddy that “any mom of a teenager or a pre-teen, unless you’ve been here, like, please, we just need a little bit of grace… It’s really hard. And it’s really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things…”
Speaking of the online chatter about her daughter, Kim explained: “She’s so creative and she’s so amazing and really mature in one sense… she’s really confident.”
Addressing North’s outfits, Kim added: “My daughter tries to wear it and I’m like ‘we’re never wearing that again’, unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”
“She’s usually a girl that dresses like a tomboy most of the time, and she wanted to try something that her friends were wearing and went to the same place that they went to and they all got these outfits. She wears them and it’s just like ‘OK wait, maybe you can’t wear that…’ as a mom you’re learning at the same time,” she added.
