Right, what are the actual rules when it come to drinking on Love Is Blind?
It can't just be a total free-for-all, surely?!
Love Is Blind season nine episodes 10 and 11 arrived on Netflix this October, and it’s safe to say some of the scenes have got people raging on X.
From Anton and Ali’s awkward discussion over drinking habits, to people calling Annie out for her behaviour after she’s “had a couple,” it seems like a tipple or two is sending some of the participants into cringeworthy territory.
The Netflix series is famed for its gold coloured wine glasses and many iconic yet concerning scenes. Who remembers Jessica Batten feeding her dog wine in season one?!

As if Jessica’s dog drinking wine scene wasn’t enough of a warning to all the participants to come, it seems like people are knocking back the vino and turning a blind eye to the fact that they’re on camera once again this season.
People watching Love Is Blind season nine have been taking to X to share how they’re totally baffled by Annie’s behaviour, and some think it’s because the drinks are well and truly flowing on set.
One tweeted: “Why’s Nick having this conversation with a drunk Annie?? What’s with people having conversations with clearly drunk people??”
The comments weren’t just fired at Annie, either, with another viewer calling out Joe: “The fact Madison doesn’t understand Joe is drunk is blowing me. Like girl why are you crying, let that man be.”

It’s no secret that ‘Love Is Blind’ and ‘alcohol being consumed during filming’ have been in the same sentence before.
What everyone’s seeing play out isn’t really that new, it’s just a different cast under the spotlight. But, as more controversial scenes drop on Netflix, people are left wondering if there are rules around consuming a beverage or two.
There doesn’t seem to be any official rule on how many drinks the contestants can opt for during the show. In fact, it could be the opposite. A former participant actually filed a lawsuit in which he claimed that the cast is pretty much plied with alcohol.
According to Court House News, Jeremy Hartwell, of Love Is Blind season two, said:
“Cast members were plied with an unlimited amount of alcohol without meaningful or regular access to appropriate food and water to moderate their inevitable drunkenness.
“The combination of sleep deprivation, isolation, lack of food, and an excess of alcohol … contributed to inhumane working conditions and altered mental state for the cast, all in the name of “entertainment value.”
