I was held at gunpoint next to Kim Kardashian in terrifying jewellery heist, it ruined my life
'I'm plagued by nightmares'
In 2016 Kim Kardashian was shockingly held at gunpoint and robbed of $10 million worth of jewellery, but there was another person who was tied up next to her.
Abderrahmane Ouatiki, the hotel concierge, also went through the traumatic experience of the robbery alongside Kim, and now he’s telling his experience of what happened.
During the lead up to the robber, Kim had attended the Givenchy fashion show to watch Kendall Jenner walk the runway, with Khloe and Kendall staying out in Paris whilst Kim returned to the hotel. She also posted on her Instagram story that she was there alone.

Abderrahmane then explained that he was working as a night concierge at the hotel, recalling: “Someone didn’t show up [to reception] so I went to help. It’s destiny, right?
“I was behind the desk at 2.22 am, my friend called me on Skype. We were talking until the robbers came around ten minutes later.”
The concierge explained that the men were disguised as the police, and he opened the door for them, believing them to be law enforcement.
He continued: “Then one pointed a gun at me and pushed me with force. The three of them threw me on the desk and told me, ‘We’re here for the money.’ That’s when I realised they were robbers.
“They forced me on the ground and they asked me, ‘Is the rapper’s wife here?’”
Aberrahmane explained that he didn’t have a choice but to lead them to Kim Kardashian, at which point they forced their way into her suite and tied her up.
Both Kim and Aberrahmane were gagged with scotch tape, with Kim being left in the bathtub and him locked in a closet near the lobby.
He explained that following the attack after the emergency services were called, “Kim came up to me, I said ‘the most important thing is we are alive’ and then she left.”

Whilst Kim quickly flew out of Paris, Aberrahmane had to be questioned by police to ensure he hadn’t tipped any of the robbers off about where she was staying.
He explained: “I was wiretapped because I was suspected by the police – I am officially a victim. Imagine if your name was associated with [the crime], the media in France didn’t want to hear it.”
The police felt confident that he hadn’t had anything to do with the crime, and after months of investigation eventually found the gang of robbers who were responsible.
