Gigi Hadid addresses speculation Zayn Malik was absent from their daughter’s birthday party
He wasn't seen in any pictures from the event
Gigi Hadid has set the record straight on speculation her former boyfriend and father to her child, Zayn Malik, missed their daughter’s fifth birthday party.
Gigi and Zayn have a long winding history together after they first got together in 2015 and were off and on again until 2020 when they welcomed their daughter, Khai, together.
However just one month after they welcomed Khai the pair split up again for good and have since been co-parenting.
Gigi Hadid has spoken about co-parenting with Zayn Malik on numerous occasions, most recently with Vogue where she explained how they work out their schedules.
She said: “Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance, That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t change here and there, but we help each other out and have each other’s backs.”
She added that whilst they’re no longer romantically together, she and Zayn operate with “love, and a feeling of camaraderie.”
However, at the start of this week Gigi shared some snaps from Khai’s fifth birthday party but Zayn was very noticeably absent from any of the pictures, despite Gigi featuring him on her Instagram in the past.
This led to speculation about whether he’d decided to miss the party, with one follower commenting, “I wish her dad would also be there”, to which Gigi responded: “She was with us both on her birthday.”
Zayn also frequently posts about Khai, featuring her on his Instagram back in July when he shared a picture of the pair attending a BlackPink concert, adding that he and his daughter “absolutely loved it.”
